About Us

Our Story

Hero Plumbing, Heating & Cooling has been a family tradition for over 100 years. We have been proud to hire our nation’s veterans since our inception in 1914 and have been proudly veteran-owned since the owner, Josh Savage, and his wife, Sheree Savage, purchased the company from his father in 2010.

Before Josh bought the company from his father, Hero had 4 employees and focused solely on serving Minneapolis. Today, Hero has over 150 amazing men and women working with us and we’ve expanded our service area to cover the entire Twin Cities metro area.

The company was originally known as Uptown Plumbing, Heating & Cooling 100 years ago. When we changed our name to Hero Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, it was our employees we had in mind. Think about it: when your heating system is broken in January or your toilet won’t flush, you need a Hero to come fix the problem. Hero really describes the people who work here: talented, caring and hardworking; people you would trust to send to your mother’s house.
